Collide (Portrait Series)

Inspired by Thomas Cole’s painting series, "The Course of Empires", this collection of photos showcase a complimentary series of two modern yet opposing worlds. The photos are arranged in pairs, each of which highlight a stark contrast between the flourishment of nature and the destruction of industry. Parallel props and poses unite the drastically distinct tones among each pairing to give off the impression of alternate realities, despite both themes coexisting within our current society.
